| The picture at the left is what the home looked like before we started. The house was built in the 1960's with asbestos siding and a brick front. We had to add some structural integerity to the inside of the house before we could add on the new floor. These things consisted of beam/header changes below the new level.
|
The picture to the right is the finished product. We Used 16" TJI floor joist to span the entire 28 foot dept of the new floor and to cantilever 2ft out in the front and rear of the house. We used Attic trusses for the contruction of the roof and layed a plywood floor in the attic for additional storage space for the client. Siding consisted of Certainteed Monogram siding and a a 30 year shingle in the dimensional style for the roof.

| In addition to the upstairs addition we bumped the first floor left wall out 2 ft by cantilevering the floor joist by two feet which enlarged the living room and dining room. The addition on the second floor consisted of a master bedroom suite with bath and walk-in closet.
